I could wax rhapsodic about competitive eating, the IFOCE, Richard "The Locust" Lefevre (a 70+ year old, retired cpa who specializes in "distance eating"), joey chestnutt, baked beans (long course), and, of course, kobayashi, but I think it's best you just start doing your own research, starting with the IFOCE web page and also watching this video (which was my first exposure to the world of competitive eating, some 7 years ago).
