Fredgiest Album of 2k8 to date: Gnarls Barkley, The Odd Couple. Please support fredginess; buy this record. But first, watch this live performance video.
1. Have you noted one of the worst Kanye West lines ever: "I'm like Charles Barkley/meets Gnarls Barkley." And that's from an iTunes five-star Kanye West opus in my book: The Glory.
2. The new album is good, certainly fredgy. But I don't like this song, Run. The best song is definitely She Knows, though Charity Case, Moving On, and Blind Mary are cool too. Songs like whatever are cloyingly hip.
3. I had a dream last night, and you were in it. You, I, and several others were running fast, because Gantz had just shot this woman in the face. I was there!
i didn't like "run" at first either, but it has grown on me with time. specifically, things like the weird backup screeching and whistles have resulted in blossoming affection for the little tune. however, my favorite song on the record is, at present, would be killer.
FYI - The new Saul Williams album, produced by Trent Reznor and available for $5 here: http://niggytardust.com/ has the fredgiest of remixes in the remix of Sunday Bloody Sunday by U2.
fredgy, adjective [fre-gee]. 1. a combination of the words fresh and edgy meant to denote something which is both simultaneously fresh and edgy. antonyms: not fresh; not edgy.
To give credit where credit is due, the word was originally coined by DF Poppy, B.A.
