Podcasts:
The Moth - Unscripted, typically highly personal stories told by authors and comedians. Sort of like This American Life, but significantly less pretentious and infinitely less likely to talk about the war in Iraq or try to make some overreaching social statement.
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History - An amateur historian reads a lot and then gives his musings on peculiar topics in history. For example, the last episode was about the influence of substance abuse on history. As an example, during WWII, Hitler was hopped up on amphetamines, Stalin was blackout drunk for large stretches of the war, Ole Winston drank all day. This is important information to know.

Joe Mande and Paul Scheer do particularly good jobs at funny.
